Gelsenkirchen: Institut Arbeit und Technik, Westfälische Hochschule Gelsenkirchen Bocholt Recklinghausen. https://doi.org/10.53190/fa/202405 Abstract / Keywords Auf den Punkt Förderinfrastruktur allein ist aus Sicht der Forschung unzureichend, um in wirtschaftlich herausgeforderten Regionen ein dynamisches Gründungsökosystem zu entfachen. Wichtig sind Erfolgsgeschichten, also erfolgreiche und sichtbare Start-ups und Scale-ups. Gründungsförderinfrastruktur wird im Ruhrgebiet von kommunalen Akteuren (v.a. Wirtschaftsförderungen), Hochschulen und privatwirtschaftlichen Initiativen angeboten und von zahlreichen Gründungsteams genutzt. Die Gründungsförderung des polyzentrischen Ruhrgebiets zeichnet sich teils durch Doppelstrukturen und ähnliche Angebote für die frühen Gründungsphasen aus. Angebote und Investitionen für schnell wachsende Scale-ups sind hingegen rar. Die gute Kooperation und eine gewisse Spezialisierung auf Tech-Gründungen und Branchen wie z.B. Cybersicherheit und Digital Health, bedingen ein umfängliches Unterstützungsnetz. Sichtbare Start-ups und Scale-ups, die als Vorbilder eine neue Gründungsgeneration motivieren, sind Chancen für die weitere dynamische Entwicklung des Gründungsökosystems. Auslaufende Förderprogramme und die allgemeine konjunkturelle Abschwächung sind als Risiken zu bewerten.
