Companies are key players in the economy and society. They create jobs and contribute to value creation. They develop new solutions with which they contribute to structural change in regions. Our research aims to develop inclusive support structures for the diverse business landscape, including social, migrant, refugee and women-owned businesses. Our analytical focus is on sustainable business models involving forms of financing and social capital as well as transnational knowledge and financial flows. These interactions have an impact on the embedding of companies in the "local" environment (entrepreneurial ecosystem). We are also working on the interaction of infrastructures such as incubators and hubs at local and regional level and the integration of different target groups into the regional support environment.
