Knowledge and Innovation for Prosperity and Quality of Life
The Institute for Work and Technology is a research organisation of the University of Applied Sciences Gelsenkirchen and a co-operation partner of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Its activities are aiming towards the objective of prosperity and quality of life. The subjects of the institute’s research, development, testing and diffusion are knowledge and innovation.
These are examined both from a spatial and sectoral perspective:

Connecting Science and Practice
The Institute for Work and Technology is a research organisation which is positioned at the interface of science and practice. On the basis of the scientific state of the art and latest in-sights from research and development it offers measures for societal and economic challenges. At the same time, it systematises empirical experiences and makes them accessible for further basic research.
The Institute acts in accordance with the Recommendations of the Commission on Professional Self Regulation in Science.
